Sensory -Based Nature Activities 

This thoughtfully planned platform consists of 52 activities  that can be used individually or in groups. The Sensory-Based Nature Activities program is a fun, multigenerational way for anyone to nourish their senses. Parents, grandparents, child-care professionals, therapists, activity directors, and teachers are the perfect co-facilitators to enhance social and thinking skills, coordination, and strength through these fun and engaging gardening activities. Take it Outside!

Amy is co-author, with Shannon Marder of Nature-Based Allied Health Practice: Creative and Evidence-Based Strategies published by Jessica Kinglsey Publishers in 2023 and available at all bookseller sites. This evidence-based and accessible guide demonstrates easily workable, creative, tried-and-tested strategies for bringing nature into allied and mental health therapy for all stages of life. 


Play as if Your Life Depends on It!

Amy is co-author with Chad Kennedy of The Nature of Inclusive Play, published by Routledge in 2023 and available at all bookseller sites. Focusing on what embodies play and showing how, through inclusive outdoor play design, developmental skills can be enriched, The Nature of Inclusive Play fills an untapped niche in promoting the value of outdoor play.


Therapeutic Gardens Book 

Amy is co-author, with Daniel Winterbottom, of the award-winning Therapeutic Gardens: Design for Healing Spaces 

published by Timber Press in 2015. This comprehensive book uses examples from around the world to demonstrate how healing spaces can be collaboratively designed to support learning, movement, sensory nurturance, and reconciliation, as well as improved health.
